Do YOU know for certain that you have ETERNAL LIFE and where you will spend eternity when YOU die?
Reality #1 – God wants you to be sure.
The Bible Says, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1 John 5:13)
Reality #2 – God has provided the way.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6)
This means the only way to have eternal life is through Jesus. The Bible says,
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Reality #3 – We receive eternal life as a gift.
“The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Reality #4 – Everyone needs this gift.
God’s Word teaches that man needs this gift because without it we will be forever separated from God. The reason for this is that man is a sinner and is hopelessly separated from a holy and righteous God.
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10)
“For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23)
God is holy and just and must punish sin, yet He loves us and has provided forgiveness for our sin through Jesus Christ.
Reality #5 – You must accept by faith that Jesus Christ is the only way to have eternal life.
“He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on Him.” (John 3:36)
In this verse, Jesus divides the world into two groups; those who are believing and those who are not believing on the Son. Those who believe on Him have eternal life, and those who refuse to believe shall not see life. The word “believe” means to trust, to depend on, or to rely on. To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ simply means that you recognize that there is no other way for you to receive God’s gift of everlasting life.
Call on Him in prayer and He will forgive your sin today.
“For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. I now invite you into my life as my personal Savior. Please make me what you want me to be……….Amen.
